Title: “Walk on the Wild Side” Oil Paintings by Jody Goldman Dates: Sunday, October 1 — Tuesday, October 31 Island Gallery and Studios proudly presents our Featured Artist for October, Jody Goldman. Jody is primarily a wildlife artist who paints in oils. During her extensive airline career, Jody had the opportunity to see an abundance of wildlife in their diverse natural settings in over 50 countries. She now uses her art to bring attention to the protection of endangered species and their exclusive habitats. Her artwork is intended to bring awareness to the delicate balance we have in nature. Art focusing on animals can give them a voice and bring awareness to their plight that might not otherwise have been seen nor heard. Jody is a member of the Oil Painters of America, Association of Animal Artists, International Guild of Realism and is a resident artist of Island Gallery and Studios, where she currently serves as President. She has been awarded national and international recognition. Her paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries and studios across the US and featured in reference materials at the Institute of Primate Studies in Madison, WI.
