Though not often associated with the Civil War, Florida was actually the third state to secede and played a more strategic role in the war than most think. This talk, presented by Eliot Kleinberg will discuss Florida’s blockades, critical battles, and cavalries and battalions. Kleinberg has served as a reporter for the Palm Beach Post for 30 years, including writing a weekly local history column.
