Earlier this year, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) released a final rule that, effective July 1, 2024, expands overtime protections under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for millions of workers by increasing the salary threshold required for an employee to qualify as an exempt bona fide executive, administrative or professional employee from federal overtime pay requirements.

She is a principal at Blalock Walters P.A. in the firm's Labor & Employment and Business Litigation practice areas. Her practice focuses on representing clients in a wide range of employment law issues including defending public and private sector employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage-hour litigation in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. She routinely provides companies with advice and counsel concerning day-to-day employee relations issues, employment agreements and legal compliance.
