On July 3 the School District of Manatee County welcomed Dr. Jason Wysong as its new Superintendent. He brings his experience, drive, and vision to a District in one of the fastest growing areas in the country with 50 traditional public schools, 14 charter schools, one of the most highly rated technical colleges in the country, more than 52,000 students, and 6,000 employees.
Prior to assuming the top leadership role in Manatee County, Dr. Wysong was a Deputy Superintendent for Seminole County Public Schools, leading K-12 instruction and organizing strategic action across district departments and schools. An “A” rated district located northeast of Orlando, Seminole schools are home to more than 63,000 students. Earlier in his career, he was a Social Studies teacher and Debate Coach, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal.
Join us for this Manatee Chamber Headliners luncheon to hear more about how Dr. Wysong will approach fulfilling the District’s vision to “be an exemplary student-focused school system that develops lifelong learners to be globally competitive.”
